Kid Congo Powers of Kid Congo and the Pink Monkey Birds (and former member of The Gun Club, The Cramps, and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds) recently announced tour dates for his book launch and conversation events. His book, Some New Kind of Kick: A Memoir, will be released on October 20th, 2022.
Some New Kind of Kick: A Memoir is currently available for pre-order and is described as: “An intimate coming of age memoir by legendary guitarist Kid Congo Powers (The Gun Club, The Cramps, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds), detailing his experiences as a young, queer Mexican-American in 1970s Los Angeles through his rise in the glam rock and punk rock scenes.”
