Folk duo Abigail and Lily Chapin made their musical debut with their EP, The Chapin Sisters (2005). After consistent releases, The Chapin Sisters returned to the scene with this year’s “Bergen Street,” followed by “All Through the Night.” The duo, originally from Brooklyn, N.Y., feel a strong connection to their hometown. Opal Eskar Wants Listeners to Open Their Minds This Summer with New Single

Philly band Opal Eskar (Chet Delcampo, Karl Blau, Heyward Howkins) have released their new single, “Open Mind,” off their debut EP, Opal Eskar. After relocating from Washington to Philadelphia, Blau met Howkins and Delcampo, and the trio formed Opal Eskar. Milly Raccoon’s “That Girl I Left Behind Me” is a Modern Ballad for History Lovers

Nashville-based fiddle player, Milly Raccoon rips a page from the history books to breathe new life into “That Girl I Left Behind Me.” The song’s roots can be traced back to Elizabethan England when the tune was sung by British soldiers.   “It remained a wartime song for the next five centuries, with new lyrics added for each new wartime era. Notably the American Civil War and World War I,” Milly Raccoon says.
