BLOCK THE NOISE! Magazine was founded as a safe space where musicians could be heard and supported. Our mission is to introduce the world to passionate, authentic artists of every genre. Whether they’re playing the main stage or singing in rattle-can dive bars, we believe nothing comes before the music.

FAQS: 

We reserve the right to publish and unpublish as we see fit. This is true even after an interview has been conducted. We reserve the right to refuse coverage if we do not feel like the pitch aligns with our publication.  

Before haunting our Editor’s inbox, please refer to the following common questions:  

Do you cover children’s music? 

No. If you are asking this question, you have not read anything on our site. SOME teen artists might be considered but only if they are exceptionally talented; think Radkey when they were teens or IDK, The Runaways. If that is you, then send us your work. Otherwise, sorry. We are not kid friendly. 

Are you hiring? 

We are open to contributors but only if you are experienced with at least 3 years of entertainment/pop culture journalism under your belt. Our Editor/founder already has a baby to take care of.  

Can I pay you to write for me? 

Sure, but that does not mean we work for you. Sorry. We are more than open to having a business relationship but no, you are not our boss. If you would like to give us money, you can drop a donation in our coffee donation box. A percentage of the donations go to MusiCares. 

Do you write Music Bios or Press Releases? 

Yes, but not for free. Sorry, that one you cannot just drop in the donation box. Fill out the contact box for more.  

Why is there so much pop on your site? Do you only cover pop music? 

No, it’s just the majority of what gets thrown at us at the moment. For the love of God, someone send the Editor a dirty, disgusting garage rock band.
