Post-punk icon Siouxsie Sioux, is set to perform for the first time in a decade next summer at the U.K. Latitude Festival. The singer last graced the stage in 2013 when Sioux performed at Yoko Ono’s Meltdown Festival at the London Royal Festival Hall. Latitude announced that Sioux will headline the BBC Sound Stage, joining previously announced headliners Pulp, Paolo Nutini, and George Ezra.
Siouxsie Sioux, of Siouxsie and the Banshees and the Creatures, is hailed as the Queen of Goth. Her signature dance style was the number one inspiration behind Jenna Ortega’s legendary goth dance in Wednesday (2022). Sioux has had a dynamic impact on music and style since the 1970s, inspiring several female vocalists ranging from PJ Harvey and Sinead O’Connor to Kathleen Hanna, Florence Welch, and Beth Ditto.
The Latitude Festival will take place at Henham Park and run from July 20-23 in 2023. Other performances include the Kooks, Metronomy, Paul Heaton, Jacqui Abbott, the Big Moon, Black Midi, and more.
